Team Mashotsukai a pseudonym used in The Dark Tournament Shinobis of the Spirit World Stealthy Figures of the Demon Realm Specters of Asura part of the Demon Realm Ninjas
The team consists of 5 main members (6 if you consider Ruka a member). They are as follows:
Throughout both the anime and manga, little to no information is given about the background of the team members or their interactions/relationships with one another. (Some are mentioned on my relationships page.)
The reason the team of ninjas would even consider going to that tournament was, as Touya explains, "for the light." They want to begin to live on the island because it is "unspoiled territory" and they can do with it as they please. They can live freely however they want. Then, as their power grows and they themselves become "the light", they can start to dominate the rest of the world. Kurama does not kill Touya at the end of their fight, desperately wanting to know, "What comes after the light?"
